Our flight was delayed getting out of Vancouver and we only had a 45 Min. connection in Montreal. Overall we were delayed by an Hour by the time we final took off.
We were sure that we had missed our connecting flight, but when we were 1.5 hours from Montreal they announce that our connecting flight was waiting for us ( there were about 10 of us on this connecting flight), we were relieved! Then an hour later the pilot announced that there was a big thunder storm in Montreal and the airport was shut down, we would be circling for a while.
When we arrived we were told that we had missed our flight. We re-routed through Brussels and arrived in Rome with an overall 6 hour delay.
When we went to claim our luggage it had been lost in the shuffle and took another 2 days for it to finally arrived at our hotel.
It was hot in Roma around 30C, we bought extra cloths while we waited for our luggage.
Other then that we had a great time and saw all the sights that we had planned.
